Encouraging social inclusion and mobility
There is increasing emphasis in today’s environment of organisations interacting with their communities and in empowering people from all backgrounds to be able to achieve within a supportive culture.
I have experience in working to encourage social inclusion and in fostering good relations. This has involved activities on age, ethnicity and sexuality, together with broader issues around dignity, respect and civic identity. I am currently involved in voluntary work for two local community organisations and have a good understanding of the present challenges and opportunities.
What I can offer
- Consultation – including focus groups and questionnaires, to provide qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Promotion – liaising with community networks and the media to get the message across.
- Delivery – of community engagement initiatives, in order to produce meaningful outcomes.
